In August 1983, following an NCBLG and NGLTF-led campaign, Mrs. Coretta Scott King announces support for national civil rights legislation protecting the rights of gays and lesbians.

Please Post Your Comments and Recollections About 1984. Be as detailed as possible, including dates and locations and individuals involved. With the help of the site administrator you can include links to documents that are to be uploaded to the Archives. These documents can also be photos and video clips. Highlights of 1984 included but were not limited to an openning of an office in Washington DC, staffed by the Executive Direcor; the election of a new Board of Directors with women holding a majority of the seats; and the adoption of a new motto.
